promptly through the authorized payment channels on DesktopBazar.
- Refrain from
posting false reviews or feedback that could harm sellers unfairly.
- Understand that
a purchase creates a binding contract with the Seller, and the Buyer must
fulfil their obligations (payment, acceptance of delivery, etc.).
3. Seller Role Responsibilities :
: A Seller
lists products or services on DesktopBazar for Buyers to purchase.
- Ensure that the
product descriptions, pricing, and availability are accurate and up-to-date.
- Fulfill orders
promptly after receiving payment from the Buyer.
- Comply with all
applicable laws and regulations, including product safety and intellectual
property laws.
- Provide
genuine, quality products and handle returns or disputes by the
marketplace’s policies.
- Deliver products within the promised timeframe and maintain good customer communication.
Seller Documents Required for Account Opening
on DesktopBazar
To create a Seller account on DesktopBazar, Sellers must
provide valid documentation to verify their identity, business legitimacy, and
compliance with applicable laws. The following documents are generally required
for account opening:
1. Proof of Identity (For Individual Sellers):
- Aadhar Card: A
government-issued unique identification number for individuals.
- PAN Card: The
Permanent Account Number (PAN) is mandatory for tax purposes and is issued by
the Income Tax Department of India.
- Passport or

2. Proof of Business Registration (For Business Entities):
- Company

User Responsibilities on DesktopBazar
As a User of DesktopBazar, whether a Buyer or Seller, you
are required to adhere to certain responsibilities and guidelines to ensure a
smooth and lawful experience on the platform. Below are the key
responsibilities that every User must follow:
1. Accurate Registration Information:
- All Users must
provide accurate, up-to-date, and complete information during the registration
process. This includes full name, contact details, and any other required
information.
- Users are
required to keep their account details updated and promptly inform DesktopBazar
of any changes.
2. Account Security:
- Users are
responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials,
including the password. They must ensure that no unauthorized person can access
their account.
- Any suspected unauthorized access or breach must be immediately reported to DesktopBazar.
3. Adherence to Laws:
- Users must comply
with all applicable local, national, and international laws when using the
platform. This includes, but is not limited to, laws related to e-commerce,
data protection, consumer rights, and intellectual property.
- Users are
prohibited from using DesktopBazar for any illegal activity, including but not
limited to fraud, money laundering, or the sale of counterfeit goods.

- Misrepresentation

- Users must not

suspects a User of having multiple accounts to manipulate the system, such

12. Timely Response to Queries:
- Sellers are
required to respond promptly to any buyer queries, complaints, or issues
regarding the products sold through DesktopBazar.
- Buyers are
encouraged to communicate with Sellers regarding any issues or clarifications
before placing orders.
13. Respecting the Cancellation and Return Policies:
- Buyers must
respect and follow the return, refund, and cancellation policies outlined by
DesktopBazar or individual Sellers, depending on the terms of the sale.
14. No Involvement in Prohibited Activities:
- Users must not
use DesktopBazar to promote or sell prohibited items such as illegal drugs,
weapons, hazardous materials, or any item that violates local or international
regulations.
- DesktopBazar
reserves the right to remove listings or terminate accounts involved in the
sale of prohibited items.
15. Respecting Other Users' Privacy:
- Users must not
misuse or disclose personal information of others that they may have access to
through the platform. Misuse of other Users’ data, including email addresses or
contact details, is strictly prohibited.
Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in
penalties such as account suspension or termination, removal of content, or

Sellers found in violation may face legal consequences and immediate account
termination.
3. Timely Order Fulfillment:

frame as indicated on the product listing.
- Delayed
fulfillment, unless communicated and agreed upon by the Buyer, may result in
penalties or negative reviews.
4. Return and Refund Policies:
- Sellers must
clearly specify return, refund, and exchange policies for each product. These
policies must align with DesktopBazar’s platform-wide guidelines.
- Sellers are
responsible for honoring refunds and returns in case of defective products,
non-delivery, or any discrepancies in the product description.
5. Customer Support and Communication:
- Sellers are
required to provide prompt customer support and respond to queries, complaints,
or disputes raised by Buyers.
- Communication
with Buyers should be professional and helpful to ensure a positive buying
experience.
6. Maintaining Stock Accuracy:
- Sellers must keep

- In case of
out-of-stock products, Sellers should immediately update the listing or
temporarily remove it to avoid miscommunication with Buyers.

- Sellers must

shipping charges. Sellers are prohibited from misleading Buyers by showing
hidden charges.
- Price
manipulation or displaying unrealistic discounts to deceive Buyers is not
allowed.
8. Prohibited Items and Content:
- Sellers must
refrain from listing prohibited items, which include but are not limited to
illegal goods, hazardous materials, stolen goods, and products that infringe
intellectual property rights.
- Listings containing inappropriate, offensive, or misleading content will be removed, and the Seller’s account may be suspended.
9. Respecting Buyer Privacy:
- Sellers must
handle Buyer information responsibly and only use it for processing orders and
communication related to the transaction.
- Misuse of
personal information for unsolicited marketing or sharing with third parties is
strictly prohibited.
10. Tax Compliance:
- Sellers are
responsible for collecting and remitting any applicable taxes, including Goods
and Services Tax (GST) in India.
- DesktopBazar may
require Sellers to provide valid tax information for compliance and regulatory
purposes.
11. Product Packaging and Quality:
- Sellers must
ensure that products are packaged securely and meet the required quality

- Inadequate or
damaged packaging leading to product damage during shipment will be the
Seller's responsibility.
12. Handling Disputes:

actively cooperate to address any Buyer concerns.
13. No Manipulation of Reviews:
- Sellers are not
allowed to manipulate product reviews or ratings by posting fake reviews,
offering incentives for positive feedback, or engaging in unethical behavior.
- Reviews must
reflect genuine Buyer experiences.
14. Adherence to DesktopBazar's Policies:
- Sellers must
follow all guidelines, terms, and policies set forth by DesktopBazar, including
those related to promotions, pricing, and listing practices.
- Violation of
these policies may result in penalties such as reduced visibility of listings,
temporary suspension, or permanent account closure.
15. Providing Required Documentation for Seller Account
Opening:
- Sellers are
required to submit the following documents to open and maintain an account on
DesktopBazar:
- Business
Registration: Proof of business registration or ownership, such as a company
incorporation certificate or GST registration.
- Tax Information:
PAN (Permanent Account Number) and GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification
Number) as applicable.
- Bank Account
Information: Verified bank account details for receiving payments.
- Address Proof:
Valid address proof for shipping and business operations.
- KYC Documents:
Know Your Customer (KYC) documents such as an Aadhaar card, passport, or any

obligations to the Buyer.
2. Payment Security:
- All payments made

ensure they have the necessary setup to receive payments, and Buyers must use
only the payment methods provided by DesktopBazar.
3. Order Tracking and Updates:
- Sellers must

- Buyers should
regularly check their order status and contact the Seller in case of any issues
or delays.
4. Delivery Responsibilities:

- Buyers are
responsible for providing accurate shipping details and being available to
receive the product at the delivery location.
5. Handling Returns and Refunds:
- Both Buyers and
Sellers must adhere to DesktopBazar's return and refund policies. Sellers are
required to honor return requests for defective or misrepresented products.
- Buyers should initiate return requests within the specified time frame and follow the procedures outlined by DesktopBazar for a smooth return process.
6. Dispute Resolution:
- DesktopBazar
offers a dispute resolution mechanism for Buyers and Sellers. Both parties must
cooperate with DesktopBazar's support team to resolve any transaction disputes

above, all Users—whether Buyers, Sellers, or marketplace

disputes, Sellers must cooperate with DesktopBazar’s support and dispute

6. Returns and Refunds:
- Sellers must
establish clear return policies and ensure they comply with DesktopBazar’s
platform-wide return guidelines.
- They are responsible for processing refunds and returns in a timely manner and ensuring that Buyers have a hassle-free experience in case of product issues.
Buyer Responsibilities on DesktopBazar
1. Placing Orders:
- Buyers are
responsible for reviewing all product details, including descriptions,
specifications, and shipping information, before placing an order.
- Once an order is
placed, Buyers are obligated to complete the payment process as per the terms
mentioned at the time of checkout.
2. Providing Accurate Information:
- Buyers must
provide accurate shipping addresses and contact information to ensure proper

- Any errors in the
provided information may lead to delivery delays or additional shipping
charges, which Buyers may be required to bear.

Transaction Responsibilities on DesktopBazar
1. Contract Between Buyer and Seller:
- All transactions
made on DesktopBazar are legally binding contracts between the Buyer and the
Seller.
- DesktopBazar acts
solely as a facilitator and is not a party to the sale. Therefore, any issues
regarding the products, such as warranties or product defects, must be resolved
between the Buyer and the Seller.
2. Payment Process:
- Transactions must
be completed through the platform’s payment gateway, which supports various
payment methods.
- DesktopBazar
ensures secure encryption of all payment information but is not responsible for
any issues arising from third-party payment processors.
3. Order Cancellation:
- Buyers and

- If a Buyer
cancels an order after dispatch, they may be liable for shipping or return
